Luke 22:31-32 (NKJV Strong’s,)
And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
I was a bit heart broken yesterday when I saw a young Pastor committed suicide. The person that is on the pulpit and the man who lives a daily live. My first question was where is his brothers in the Lord or His mentors? Sadly we as Christians crucify our own instead being there for each other.
Pastors as are just normal people that have the same challenges as normal people and many time feel they can’t speak to someone or are ashamed because of the things they are going through.
Our heart attitude is we should pray for those who lead us. Jesus knew that Peter will betray him. Jesus prayed for Peter that His faith will not fail him. Jesus was more interested in restoring the person then all the wrong things in his life
Not only did Jesus prayed for Peter but he give him encouragement. The Bible says that we should build each other up. Church is where God’s people come together and we are family.
Our brothers and sisters should know that when they face challenges that we will stand by them.
Galatians 6:1 (NKJV Strong’s,)
Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.
